We have a simple method. All you need is a pen, a piece of paper or a thread and a ruler.
Preparation:
First cut a strip 8 - 10 cm long and no more than 1 cm wide from a piece of paper.
Measure with the paper strip – that's how it works!.
- Wrap the strip lengthwise around your ring finger. Make sure that the strip is not too loose.
- Mark the end of the overlap with a straight line.
- Measure the marked distance. The result in millimeters corresponds to your ring size.
Example: A distance of 5.4 cm corresponds to ring size 54.
Measure ring size with ring & caliper:
Another method of determining your ring size involves using calipers. For this you need a ring that fits well and a vernier caliper.
1. Place the ring on the table and between the two arms of the caliper.
2. Use the caliper to find the diameter of your ring. Attention: Don't count the edges of the ring here either.
3. Look in the table which ring size you have.
Measure ring size without ring & caliper:
You can also determine your ring size by measuring the diameter of your finger with calipers.
1. Take the vernier caliper and position both arms around the finger where you want to wear the ring.
2. Now you can see the diameter of your finger.
3. Look in the table which ring size you have.
